v0.6.4.1 Site Upgrade
This documents the v0.6.4.1 emergency Dahetral site upgrade.
During the last several months, we have become very lax at documenting system upgrades/changes due to the very fast pace we have been achieving in developing our site and tool suite. This fast pace has caused a series of production site errors, and subsequent emergency patches, that brings us back to our original development philosophy: planned development with more testing.
From the last major upgrade (v0.6) to this urgent bug-fix release, we have achieved the following milestones:
Moved to Plone 3.0.6
See Plone 3 Features for the significant upgrades from 2.5. We are using and investigating more every day. The pace of Plone development, including third-party packages, has been very rapid resulting in rippling effects through our code.
Moved our main site to an Openhosting virtual server.
This allowed us to decommission one of our servers. We still support internal development services (version control and issue tracking) on a local server but may move these services also.
Upgraded all third-party packages to run on Plone 3
